We always welcome volunteers, if you have skills in the following we would be most grateful to hear from you, we can also offer training through Museums Australia.

Currently we are cataloguing scarves and pennants. An example of the procedure for cataloguing the scarves is as follows. When the scarves are identified an Article Data Sheet is compiled, this includes numbering the scarf, the name of the group or country of origin, donors name and address, condition and size of scarf and a brief description of the scarf and any relevant information that may be of interest.

The scarves are then tagged with their own specific number and wrapped in acid free paper and stored, or put on display.

The information on the Article Data Sheet is keyed into the computer. This information can be retrieved at a later date for research purposes or general enquiries.

Past and present members of Scouting are in a unique position to assist with their valuable knowledge of Scouting. If you would like to participate in this rewarding work and have time to spare on a regular or casual basis we would much appreciate your involvement, please contact:
