The object of this Museum is to promote Scouting through preserving its history.
Sir Ernest Lee Steere officially opened the Museum at its present location on 14th November 1982 and named it in memory of Allan Jones who was the W.A State Secretary for more than 20 years. In early 1999 the Museum was renamed the W.A Scout Museum.
Milton Boyce, Jim Patterson and their band of BP Guild members were instrumental in the establishment of the original museum in 1975 at the Peet Memorial Hall.
